Preti Flaherty Announces Promotion of Two Attorneys to Partner, Two to Director

Preti Flaherty is pleased to announce that the firm’s partnership has named Adam J. Shub and Matthew S. Warner as new partners, and James D. Christon and Daniel R. Sonneborn as new directors.  Each attorney stands out as a distinguished practitioner within his respective fields. Individually, they represent a diverse roster of clients on a wide range of matters and, combined, contribute to strengthening the firm’s national and international service footprint.

Christon is a member of the firm’s Business Law, Banking and Financial Services, and Trusts and Estates Groups and works in the firm’s Concord, New Hampshire, office. He is a graduate of Villanova University School of Law. During law school, he was a member of the Corporate Law and Tax Law Society and served as a Legal Counsel Intern at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston.

Shub is a member of the firm’s Litigation; Bankruptcy, Creditors' Rights, and Business Restructuring; and Media Law Groups and works in the firm’s Portland, Maine, office. Prior to his legal career, Adam was an award-winning broadcast journalist, working as a news anchor and reporter at television stations in Bangor, Maine, and Charlotte, North Carolina.

Sonneborn is a member of the firm’s Litigation, Transportation and Maritime Law, Professional Liability, Financial Industry Litigation and Arbitration, and Construction Law Groups and works in the firm’s Boston, Massachusetts, office. In each of the past three years, he was named a Boston Super Lawyers Rising Star in the field of Personal Injury Medical Malpractice: Defense. He is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School.

Warner is a member of the firm’s Litigation, International Commerce, Data Security and Privacy, Government Affairs, and Cannabis Business Groups and works in the firm’s Portland office. He has worked at the White House and the U.S. State Department as a grassroots advocate, and served as a speechwriter for the U.S. Ambassador to NATO in Brussels. He is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Columbia University School of Law.

All four attorneys previously practiced with the firm as associates.
