Jason Howe Elected to American College of Mortgage Attorneys

Jason Howe, Chair of Preti Flaherty’s Real Estate & Finance Group, has been selected as a Fellow in the distinguished American College of Mortgage Attorneys (ACMA). Membership in the premiere association of mortgage lawyers is by invitation only and is limited to about 500 of the country’s top attorneys in mortgage law.

Attorneys selected as Fellows have distinguished themselves as practitioners in the field of real estate mortgage law through their skills and practice experience, bar association activities, lecturing, authoring articles and program materials, participation in the legislative process, and writing briefs and/or arguing cases that are significant to mortgage transactions.

Jason is a Partner in Preti Flaherty’s Corporate and M&A Practice Group and chair of the firm's Real Estate and Finance Practice Group. Jason represents both lenders and private equity groups in financing commercial real estate development, third-party logistics and warehousing facilities, and various hotel and hospitality concerns.  He also represents clients regionally, nationally, and internationally on matters relating to real estate development, corporate restructuring, business acquisitions, private equity investments, and complex commercial leasing, serving as outside general counsel to several such companies.

“I am deeply honored to be joining this group of highly distinguished mortgage attorneys,” said Howe. “Preti is unique in that we have another active ACMA member in our Concord, NH, office, along with a now inactive Maine member in Rick Stauffer. Having two ACMA members on our roster speaks to the depth of our finance team here at Preti, and to the level of expertise our group leverages for the benefit of our clients.”
