Preti Flaherty is pleased to announce that the firm’s partnership has named Bodie Colwell as its newest partner. Bodie is an integral member of the firm’s Creditor’s Rights & Bankruptcy team and an active member of both the American Bankruptcy Institute and the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation.

Bodie’s practice centers on representing creditors and lenders in commercial and consumer matters, and in all matters involving preference and fraudulent transfer avoidance claims. She also represents Chapter 7 and 11 trustees in bankruptcy cases, buyers of assets in bankruptcy, and distressed businesses in out-of-court workouts and liquidations.

As an emerging leader in the bankruptcy and restructuring industry, Bodie serves as the Co-Chair for the Young and New Member Committee of the American Bankruptcy Institute and as Co-Director of Communications for the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation. In recent years, she has been named a Rising Star by New England Super Lawyers and to the Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch list.
