Preti Flaherty is pleased to announce that attorney Bodie Colwell has been named a 2018 semi-finalist for the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) 8th Annual “Rising Star” Award. Colwell is the first attorney from the New England area in the history of the award to be named a semi-finalist.

IWIRC is the premier international networking and professional growth organization for women in the restructuring and insolvency industries. The IWIRC Rising Star Award recognizes IWIRC members with eight or less years of experience in their individual fields who have shown exemplary commitment to furthering IWIRC’s mission to enhance the professional status of women in the insolvency and restructuring profession at the local, national, and/or international levels. Semi-finalists are chosen from IWIRC networks around the world, and include attorneys, bankers, turnaround advisors, claims and noticing agents, and other restructuring industry consultants and professionals.

Colwell has been an IWIRC member since 2011 and currently serves as co-chair of the New England Network, where she strives to increase the reach of the network and the accessibility of events to women insolvency professionals in the region and the value of membership for IWIRC’s existing members.

Semi-finalists will attend IWIRC’s 25th Annual Fall Conference in San Antonio, Texas, on October 28, where the Rising Star Award winner will be announced.
