Preti Flaherty Welcomes New Partner and Two Attorneys
Preti Flaherty is pleased to announce the addition of a partner and two associates to the firm’s Corporate and M&A, Litigation, Government Affairs, and Municipal Law and Finance Groups.
Andrew Wells joins the firm as a Partner in our Corporate and M&A Practice Group. Coming to Preti Flaherty from another Portland-based firm, Andrew is a trusted advisor to businesses of all sizes, offering clients tailored tax solutions grounded in the law and focused on long-term success. He’ll collaborate closely with the rest of the Corporate and M&A team to counsel clients on a wide range of issues, including corporate reorganizations, equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, employment incentives, and federal and state tax matters.
Gray Louis joins Preti Flaherty’s Municipal Law and Finance Group from another Portland-based firm. Based in Preti Flaherty’s Portland office, Gray advises municipal clients on all aspects of municipal law, with a particular focus on land use and litigation. Backed by his experience during internships for the Governor of Massachusetts’s Office of the Legal Counsel and a Massachusetts state representative, he understands the intricacies and inner workings of public agencies, allowing him to help the firm’s municipal clients navigate complex regulatory challenges with confidence.
Omar Frometa, Jr., a proud, first-generation Latino college graduate and former Preti Flaherty summer associate, joins the firm’s Litigation and Government Affairs Groups following his graduation from Suffolk University Law School. Prior to joining Preti Flaherty, Omar served as a legal intern with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Crime Strategies Bureau, Director of Communications for a Massachusetts State Senator, and Deputy Director of Communications for the Massachusetts State Treasury. At Preti Flaherty, he will provide strategic support to clients across a wide range of litigation matters, including legal research and drafting, evidence analysis, and preparation for board hearings and trials.
“I’m excited to welcome Andrew, Omar, and Gray to Preti Flaherty, and know they’ll be a great fit here at the firm,” said Managing Partner Michael Smith. “Their arrival demonstrates our continued commitment to filling our ranks with exceptional attorneys through lateral recruitment and our summer associate program so that we can continue to deliver outstanding service to our clients.”
