Biography
Andrew is a trusted advisor to businesses of all sizes, offering tailored tax solutions with a strong foundation in the law and a focus on long-term success. Based in Preti Flaherty’s Portland office, he focuses his practice on tax research, planning, and guidance across a wide spectrum of business matters, including corporate reorganizations, equity investments, mergers & acquisitions, tax exempt organizations, and federal and state tax issues related to Corporations, Limited Liability Companies, partnerships, cooperatives, tax exempt organizations, tax credits, and sales and use tax.
Whether working with a small, locally owned business or a large corporation, Andrew is known for his ability to translate complex tax concepts into clear, actionable advice. He works closely with our corporate clients to provide support on contract negotiations, tax considerations, service agreements, and governance matters, also advising on Internal Revenue Code compliance, conflict-of-interest and other governance policies for tax exempt organizations, grantmaking rules for public charities and private foundations, and the unique challenges facing affiliate advocacy organizations.
Outside of the office, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and children, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, running, surfing, snowboarding, and skiing.
