Preti Flaherty Partnership Announces Promotion to Partner of Kristin Collins and John Cronan, III
Preti Flaherty is pleased to announce that the firm’s partnership has named two new partners: Kristin M. Collins and John J. Cronan, III. Both attorneys stand out as distinguished practitioners within their respective fields and each represents a diverse roster of clients on a wide range of matters. Their noteworthy contributions have significantly strengthened the firm’s regional, national, and international service footprint.
Kristin Collins is one of the principal attorneys in the firm’s Municipal Law & Finance Practice Group and co-chair of the Municipal Broadband Group. She has represented more than 30 municipalities and has prosecuted or defended over 50 cases involving municipalities before Maine’s District, Superior, and Supreme Judicial Courts. As a member of the firm’s Employment Law and Litigation Practice Groups, Kristin has extensive experience representing both public and private clients in matters before the Unemployment Commission, Human Rights Commission, and Workers Compensation Commission and in state and federal courts. She is a graduate of the University of Maine School of Law and Colgate University. Kristin practices from the firm’s Augusta office.
John Cronan, III, is a key member of the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Practice Group and a trial lawyer in the Litigation Practice Group, frequently representing national insurance companies and group self-insurers before state courts, regulatory agencies, and mediators in regional, national, and international matters. John also provides comprehensive counsel to clients navigating insurance claim issues, unemployment appeals, and creditor’s rights disputes while maintaining a significant commercial and antitrust litigation practice. John has been repeatedly recognized by SuperLawyers as a Rising Star and by Best Lawyers as One to Watch. He is a graduate of the New England School of Law and Providence College. John practices from the firm’s Portland office.
