Maine WC Alert: MAE Unit Publishes Guidance on Compliance with Recent Amendments

Maine Workers' Comp Alert

The Maine Workers’ Compensation Board’s Monitoring, Audit & Enforcement Unit has issued a document to provide guidance on complying with certain recent amendments to the Workers’ Compensation Act in P.L. 2019, c. 344 (LD 756). The guidance relates specifically to the recent amendment to section 205(2) (time for payment of incapacity benefits) and section 221 (coordination of benefits).

Please note that the guidance in the attached document does not have the force and effect of law and is not judicially enforceable. Please stay tuned for further updates.
