Matt Warner, Preti Flaherty attorney and member of the firm's Cannabis Business Group, will co-present alongside Bryan Murray, Executive Vice President of Government Relations at Acreage Holdings, Inc., on the subject of "Achieving Social Equity Through Cannabis Regulation" at the 2021 Maine Cannabis Convention. Presented by NECANN, the annual gathering of businesses, advocates, patients, investors, educators, and consumers is a hub of resources and communication for the booming and ever-growing cannabis industry. In Matt and Bryan's session, they will discuss how draconian and punitive cannabis policies continue to cause significant damage to disadvantaged communities, how cannabis legalization offers an economic opportunity for entrepreneurs in those communities, and how social equity initiatives can help turn opportunity into reality and lead to further industry expansion.
