Matt is an Associate with Preti’s Energy and Telecommunications group, practicing out of the firm’s Portland office.  In a multidisciplinary role at the intersection of energy, business, and law, he conducts research, drafts legal documents, and provides strategic counsel on complex energy law matters. Matt brings valuable transactional and renewable energy experience to Preti’s clients, having interned during law school with both the Governor’s Energy Office working on Maine’s Offshore Wind Roadmap, and a large corporation’s transactional and M&A team.

A graduate of University of Maine School of Law and Connecticut College, Matt has focused his education and legal background in the areas of economics, energy, and environmental studies. At Maine Law, he was a member of the Business Law Association, the Energy and Environmental Law Society, and was published in the Ocean and Coastal Law Journal where he served as a Piece Editor. Matt also received a Certificate in Business and Transactional Law with distinction. In 2023, Matt was a Summer Associate at Preti Flaherty.

Outside his work, Matt is an avid skier and cyclist.
