Biography

Martha is a member of the firm's Corporate, M&A and Taxation practice groups, focusing primarily on estate planning and individual tax matters. She provides federal and state tax compliance counsel for individual clients, business owners, and tax-exempt organizations, and advises corporate  clients regarding entity formation, and ongoing operational activities. Martha has extensive experience negotiating tax compromise agreements, and resolution agreements between private parties.

Prior to joining Preti Flaherty, Martha practiced tax law at several distinguished law firms on the East Coast. Her clients have included private and commercial trusts, financial services firms and individual professionals, domestic and off-shore trusts, and non-profit organizations, on matters ranging from formation to dissolution.

Martha divides her time between mid-coast and Portland, Maine.
