Biography
Joanna is an Associate with Preti’s Corporate Law group, practicing out of the Boston and Concord offices. She has a broad background in transactional law and assists in drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements, conducting due diligence and research, preparing briefs, and providing strategic guidance. Joanna also supports the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology practice, assisting clients with protecting and leveraging their brands, creative works, and proprietary technologies. Her work includes trademark clearance and preservation, copyright protection and registration, and advising on intellectual property issues that arise in commercial transactions and technology agreements. Joanna’s legal experience extends from local real estate and financing firms to working in one of the largest corporate law firms in the U.S., offering Preti’s clients a diverse spectrum of skills and experience to draw upon
Joanna is a graduate of University of Maine Law School and Bates College. At Maine Law, she was Co-Chair of If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice as well as a legal research and writing Teaching Assistant. Joanna received a Certificate in Business and Transactional Law with distinction. She participated in the Clinton Global Initiative where she facilitated women’s health and rights forums and has also worked with organizations dedicated to advancing equity and inclusion in the workplace.
A former college athlete, Joanna thrives on collaboration, community engagement, and being active. She also loves to travel and makes sure to carve out time for another favorite pastime—playing and watching women’s sports.
