Gregory P. Hansel Appointed to Board of Directors of Harvard Alumni Association

Preti Flaherty is proud to announce that attorney Gregory P. Hansel has been appointed to the worldwide Board of Directors of the Harvard Alumni Association. As part of his appointment, Greg will act as Regional Director to support and oversee Harvard Clubs in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and North/Central Massachusetts.

The Harvard Alumni Association (HAA) is the official association of all alumni of Harvard University and maintains and enhances a highly engaged, vibrant community of alumni and friends worldwide. The purpose of the HAA is to promote the welfare of Harvard University and to help alumni connect with the University and with fellow graduates through a wealth of Club activities, continuing education programs, online services, and alumni events around the world. The Board of Directors holds three meetings each year in Cambridge. At these meetings, the Directors are informed about University programs, facilities, and concerns, and participate in discussions with students, administrators, and faculty members. In addition, the Harvard Alumni Association sponsors yearly meetings away from Cambridge in conjunction with local Harvard Clubs and graduate school associations.

Greg Hansel is chair of the firm’s Antitrust & Competition practice group and a nationally recognized trial lawyer in complex business litigation. He has won victories for defendants and plaintiffs in some of Maine's largest cases and maintains a national and international litigation practice. He frequently advises overseas clients on U.S. legal matters. He is listed in Woodward/White's Best Lawyers in America, which named him 2017 and 2015 "Lawyer of the Year" for Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions - Defendants.
