Biography

Chris is an attorney in Preti’s Corporate and M&A practice group, practicing out of the firm’s Portland headquarters. He counsels clients on a wide range of sophisticated transactional, securities, and corporate law matters, with particular focus on mergers & acquisitions and other complex transactions, public and private securities law matters, and the structuring and execution of private investments. Chris is also a trusted advisor to early-stage and growing businesses with respect to corporate formation and governance, fundraising, commercial leasing, and general commercial & contract law matters. As part of his practice, Chris strives to remain closely integrated into Maine’s business community and to support innovative and emerging local companies as they grow.

Prior to joining Preti, Chris began his career practicing in the New York and Paris offices of an eminent international law firm. His practice focused on advising domestic and international clients with respect to private investment fund formation, fundraising, and operations, cross-border capital markets and corporate transactions, and U.S. securities laws and regulations. Upon returning to his native Maine, Chris developed a community-oriented commercial legal practice as a partner in a local Saco-based law firm and later as a solo practitioner. Chris graduated from the New York University School of Law and completed his undergraduate studies at the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.

Outside of the office, Chris is an avid surfer, craftsman, and gardener.  He lives in Saco.
