David Van Slyke Named to 2024 Lawdragon Green 500: Leaders in Environmental Law
Preti Flaherty’s Managing Partner David Van Slyke has been recognized by Lawdragon as one of the top 500 environmental lawyers in the U.S. It’s the third time he has been named to this prestigious list since its first publication in 2021, when Lawdragon launched an exclusive platform highlighting leaders in environmental law.
In their announcement, Lawdragon said the impressive group of lawyers honored this year ranges from “wolf advocates, to sustainable finance leaders, experts in greenwashing claims and regulatory gurus who help businesses navigate environmental regulations to successfully develop projects.” Selections are made through a time-honored vetting process of researching veteran environmental lawyers who helped establish the field in the 1970s and 1980s, natural resource lawyers at the forefront of renewable and sustainable advances, conservation lawyers who protect air, water, wildlife, and forests, environmental justice attorneys, and many more.
David Van Slyke is Preti Flaherty’s Managing Partner and previously served as Chair of Preti’s Environmental Practice Group for more than two decades. He is involved in all aspects of the Firm’s environmental practice. Prior to joining Preti, David had a distinguished career at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
