Biography

Kijana is a member of Preti Flaherty’s Environmental Practice Group in the firm’s Portland office. In her practice, she provides comprehensive counsel in all areas of complex environmental law, including research and analysis of federal and state statutory and regulatory issues, enforcement actions, and case law; drafting documents and filing motions with courts; and advising clients in proceedings before federal, state, and local agencies.

Kijana is a graduate of Vermont Law School, with a J.D. and Master’s Degree in Energy Regulation and Law, and the University of Southern Maine. As an undergrad, she studied archaeological practice at the University of Winchester in England. While in law school, Kijana served as managing editor of the Vermont Law Review, as an extern for the New Hampshire Office of the Consumer Advocate, and as an academic clinician for the Vermont Law School Energy Law Clinic. She joins Preti Flaherty following the completion of an externship with the Maine Public Utilities Commission.

Kijana lives in Portland, Maine.
