Biography

Dan has served at a senior level in all three branches of Massachusetts state government as a Trial Court judge, member of the House of Representatives, and as Chief Legal Counsel to the Governor. His experience includes serving as the founding General Counsel of a publicly traded Silicon Valley technology company, serving as President and General Counsel of the New England Legal Foundation to advocate for free enterprise in the New England state and federal courts, serving as the chief executive officer of a $1.6 billion philanthropy, and serving as a partner or senior counsel at several AmLaw100 law firms in Boston.

During his practice, Dan has successfully represented clients in a wide variety of matters in various sectors, including business litigation and mediation, copyright IP litigation, insurance coverage, products liability, consumer protection, civil rights, election law, environmental protection, construction law, real estate litigation, university discipline matters, wrongful death, white collar criminal defense, and personal injury. He has represented clients in the financial services, manufacturing, automotive, banking, construction, non-profit, biotech, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, and technology sectors.

In addition to his legal skills, Dan has worked as a strategic advisor to CEOs and general counsel to leverage legal, legislative, and regulatory channels to solve problems and advance corporate objectives. Dan works from our Boston office and is a Senior Counsel in the firm’s Litigation group.
