21 Preti Flaherty Attorneys Named to Best Lawyers 2015

PORTLAND, ME (August 22, 2014) — Preti Flaherty announced today that Preti Flaherty attorney Gregory P. Hansel has been named 2015 Lawyers of the Year in the field of Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions – Defendants by the soon-to-be-released 2015 edition of Best Lawyers in America®, a highly regarded directory of attorneys and law firms in the United States.

In addition, twenty-two Preti Flaherty attorneys from its offices in Portland and Augusta, Maine and Concord, New Hampshire have been selected by their peers for inclusion in the forthcoming directory.

Inclusion in the 2015 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® is considered a top honor as less than three percent of the nation’s lawyers are listed in the guide, which are chosen by their peers and organized by practice area. The 23 selected attorneys include:

    From the Augusta, Maine office:

    • Severin M. Beliveau–Administrative/Regulatory Law and Government Relations Practice
    • Anthony W. Buxton–Energy Law
    • Joseph G. Donahue–Administrative/Regulatory Law, Communications Law and Energy Law

Because Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 25,000 leading attorneys cast almost two million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their specialties, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”
