Preti’s Sigmund Schutz will be one of the Maine panelists in New England First Amendment Coalition’s Accessing Police Misconduct Records series. This series continues NEFAC’s freedom of information lessons and builds on the information provided in NEFAC’s growing library of public records classes. Lessons will be taught by local journalists and attorneys who provide an overview of their respective state’s law and explain how misconduct records can be accessed. Schutz will be joined by fellow Maine panelist Judy Meyer, Executive Editor of the Sun Journal, Kennebec Journal, Morning Sentinel, and six weekly newspapers.
