Biography

Scott is an Associate in Preti Flaherty’s Environmental Practice Group, working from the Portland, Maine, office. In his practice, he teams with the firm’s diverse roster of attorneys to offer clients innovative counsel across all matters of environmental law, including comprehensive case law research and discovery analysis, document drafting and filing, and end-to-end strategic development. 

Scott is a graduate of the University of Maine School of Law and the University of Maine at Presque Isle. While in law school, he served as vice president of the American Constitution Society, class representative for the Energy and Environmental Law Society and Student Bar Association, student attorney in the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office, and vehicle emissions program assistant for the Maine Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of Air Quality. Prior to law school, Scott held positions as a reserve law enforcement officer in two communities in Aroostook County.

Scott has a passion for the environment and enjoys hiking, kayaking, and being outdoors as much as possible. He lives in Westbrook, Maine with his spouse and their dog, Nala.
