PORTLAND, ME — Preti Flaherty announced today that thirty-seven Preti Flaherty attorneys from its offices in Portland and Augusta, Maine, and Concord, New Hampshire, have been selected by their peers for inclusion in the soon-to-be-released 2016 edition of The Best Lawyers in America®, a highly regarded directory of attorneys and law firms in the United States.

Inclusion in the 2016 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® is considered a top honor as less than three percent of the nation’s lawyers are listed in the guide, which are chosen by their peers and organized by practice area.

In addition to the practice area listing, four Preti attorneys have been named Lawyers of the Year for 2016 by Best Lawyers. Severin M. Beliveau was named for his work in Government Relations Practice; Daniel Rapaport was named for his work in Medical Malpractice Law (Defendants); Kenneth E. Rubinstein was named for his work in Construction Law; and Randall B. Weill was named for his work in Litigation (Antitrust).

Because Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 25,000 leading attorneys cast almost two million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their specialties, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”
