Preti Flaherty Welcomes Attorney James Yuan Meinert to the Firm

Preti Flaherty is pleased to announce that attorney James Yuan Meinert has joined the firm as an Associate. James, who recently finished a two-year stint as an Honors Program Attorney with the U.S. EPA’s Environmental Appeals Board in Washington DC, will practice in the Environmental and Litigation practice groups from the firm’s Boston office.

James graduated from the University of Minnesota with a J.D. from the U of M Law School and an M.P.H. in Environmental Health Sciences: Regulatory Toxicology and Risk Assessment from the School of Public Health. He also earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Philosophy from Grinnell College. Besides his efforts at the EAB, prior to joining the firm, James served in research, clerkship, and internship positions at a number of organizations of note, including the Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy, the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resources Division, and the Natural Resources Defense Council. In law school, James was President and Secretary of the Environmental & Energy Law Society and Lead Managing Editor of the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science & Technology.

James is a resident of Somerville, Massachusetts.
