Preti Flaherty Adds Five to Environmental and Litigation Practice Groups

Preti Flaherty is pleased to announce the arrival of five new members to the firm: Katherine L. Oaks, Kevin C. Osantowski, Laura Lee Barry Wommack, Nicholas A. Dube, and Allaina Murphy.

Joining our Environmental and Litigation Practice Groups in the firm’s Portland, Maine, office:

Katherine Oaks is a graduate of Vermont Law School, Villanova Law School, and St. Joseph’s University. At Villanova Law, she was Managing Editor of Research and Writing for the Villanova Sports Law Journal. She joins the firm as an Associate following the successful completion of a Global Energy Fellowship at the Vermont Law Institute for Energy and the Environment and three years as a trial attorney at the Office of the Public Defender in Philadelphia.

Kevin Osantowski is a graduate of Boston College Law School and the University of Vermont’s Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources. He joins the firm as an Associate following four years at a law firm in the Pacific Northwest, where he worked on a variety of environmental compliance and litigation matters.

Laura Lee Barry Wommack is a graduate of Harvard Law, the University of Pennsylvania, and Montclair State University. At Harvard Law, she was a member of the Harvard Journal of Racial and Ethnic Justice. She joins the firm following a federal clerkship in the U.S. District Court in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has held internships and Summer Associate positions at the U.S. Department of Education and law firms in New York and Pennsylvania.

Joining our Litigation Practice Group in Maine and New Hampshire:

Nicholas Dube is a graduate of Harvard Law School, where he was Executive Editor of the Harvard Law Review, and Harvard College. A native of New Hampshire, Nicholas joins the firm’s Concord office as an Associate following three years in the Boston office of a top global law firm and a clerkship with Judge Boggs of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Allaina Murphy is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she was a member of the Connecticut Law Review, and Bates College. A native Mainer, she returns to the firm having served as a 2019 Summer Associate in our Portland office. She has held several notable internships, including with the Office of the Maine Attorney General, the Eighth District Court of Maine, and the Volunteer Lawyers Project.

With these five new arrivals, Preti Flaherty continues to expand the scope and strength of our already formidable Environmental and Litigation Practice Groups.
