Preti Attorney Secures Unanimous Approval for Madrid Township Gravel Pit

Portland, ME
Preti Flaherty attorney Mike Lane represented Mark Beauregard, Inc. before the Maine Land Use Planning Commission (LUPC) and, as reported in an article on August 14, 2013 of the Sun Journal, secured unanimous approval for the operation of a gravel pit in Madrid Township.  When Beauregard encountered vocal and substantial opposition from local landowners to his gravel permit application, he turned to Preti Flaherty and its team of experienced land use attorneys to represent him through the permitting process.  After an exhaustive review of the permit application by the Land Use Planning Commission involving numerous procedural challenges, two site visits and a special meeting, LUPC approved a 10-year operating permit at its regularly scheduled August 14 meeting.
