Attorney Crystal L. Bulges Joins Preti Flaherty’s Environmental Practice Group
Preti Flaherty is pleased to announce that attorney Crystal L. Bulges has joined the firm’s Environmental Practice Group, working in the Portland office.
Crystal brings to the firm more than 20 years of experience at the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, where she served as a Permanent and Supervisory Law Clerk, advising the entire Court across the complete range of legal issues pursuant to federal, state, and local authority, and was responsible for recruitment, training, and supervision of the Court’s full roster of term law clerks.
Crystal is a magna cum laude graduate of both the University of Maine School of Law and Mary Washington College. She has held internships at the Federal Bureau of Investigation Behavioral Science Unit in Quantico, Virginia; the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps in Fort Belvoir, Virginia; and the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office in Portland, Maine. Prior to serving the Supreme Court, she worked as a litigation associate at a well-respected Portland law firm.
Preti Flaherty’s Managing Partner, David Van Slyke said, “Crystal possesses the type of rare institutional knowledge that can only come from in-depth, firsthand experience at the State’s highest court. Her perspective on case law and court procedure will be invaluable to our clients. We anticipate great things and could not be more honored that she has chosen our firm to begin the next phase of her career.”
