Portland, MEL

Social media has become a sort of "virtual watercooler" which employees use to communicate all sorts of information about their work. In this presentation before the Human Resources Association of Southern Maine, Laura Rideout will explore what limits employers can place on employee use of social media both on and off the job; the pitfalls of monitoring employee social activity; and what steps employers can take to manage employee social media use. She will also provide tips on how employers can draft effective policies to manage social media use in the workplace.
