Biography

Katherine is a member of Preti Flaherty’s Environmental and Litigation Practice Groups in the firm’s Portland office, where she counsels clients on a variety of complex issues related to environmental law, including mediation; drafting pleadings; discovery requests and responses; preparing for deposition and trial examination; and negotiating and drafting settlement agreements.

Katherine is a graduate of Vermont Law School, where she was the Global Energy Fellow at the Institute for Energy and the Environment. While at Vermont Law, she served as a litigation extern in the Environmental Protection Division of the Office of the Vermont Attorney General. She earned her J.D. from Villanova Law School, where she was the managing editor of research and writing for the Villanova Sports Law Journal; a student clinician for the Farmworker Legal Aid Clinic; and held a clerkship with the Federal Public Defender, District of New Jersey, in Camden. Prior to Vermont Law, Katherine practiced for three years as an Assistant Defender with the Defender Association of Philadelphia, in Pennsylvania.
