Jeff Talbert, Chair of Preti Flaherty's Environmental Law Group, will moderate "Regulatory Action: History & Horizon" at the ABA Toxic Torts & Environmental Law Conference. This panel will discuss the 2016 EPA health advisory, the formal EPA action plan from the EPA in 2019, and recent action by the Biden Administration in July 2021 regarding PFAS. The panel will also cover state regulations and litigation raised by state entities regarding costs associated with PFAS remediation and cleanup. Time permitting, the panel will also explore the international response to PFAS as it relates to future regulation in the United States.
