Biography

Betsy practices with Preti Flaherty's Business Law Group in the firm's Portland office, where she is dedicated to advising business clients on a multitude of general transactional matters. She focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, contract preparation and negotiation, as well as commercial finance and corporate governance.

A native Mainer, Betsy is a graduate of the University of Maine School of Law and Brandeis University and has a certificate in Project Management from the University of Southern Maine. While in law school, Betsy worked at TD Bank, the Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar, the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic, and a local personal injury law firm. She has over ten years’ experience in the insurance industry as an underwriter, analyzing and pricing group insurance risk. Prior to joining Preti Flaherty, Betsy practiced for four years with a notable Maine law firm.

Betsy lives in South Portland with her husband and daughter.
