Stephen D. Wilson is a partner in Preti Flaherty's Litigation, Intellectual Property, Sports & Entertainment Law, Business Law, and Securities practice groups and is a past Chair of Preti Flaherty's Recruitment Committee. His broad-based litigation, ADR and appellate experience includes successful representation of clients in numerous state and federal courts throughout Maine and Massachusetts, as well as other states. He has served as lead counsel and local counsel in a number of cases and alternative dispute resolution proceedings, including mediation, arbitration, and judicial settlement conferences.

In connection with his securities and financial services practice, Steve has counseled and represented clients in litigation, arbitration, securities investigations (including FINRA and state securities office investigations), and other matters including shareholder disputes, broker/dealer liability, employment termination matters, noncompete agreements, shareholder derivative litigation, director and officer liability, majority shareholder liability, investor complaints, fiduciary liability, asset recovery, financial litigation and dispute resolution, and other securities and financial services matters.

Steve is licensed to practice in both Maine and Massachusetts, and is admitted before the United States District Court for the District of Maine, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He has served as a presenter, panelist, and faculty member for a number of seminars and continuing legal education courses. Before joining Preti Flaherty, he served a Judicial Clerkship with the Honorable Paul L. Rudman of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court and a Judicial Internship with the Massachusetts Superior Court.
