Ricardo provides strategic patent counsel on a broad range of matters as part of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. Working with companies and institutions of all sizes, Ricardo helps clients protect the value of their intellectual property by drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications and by providing portfolio management advice.
He has significant experience across industries and has particularly concentrated his practice on computer science, semiconductors, telecommunications and wireless technologies. In addition to these focus areas he has worked with a range of other technologies including data encryption and storage, circuitry and electromechanical devices, nanotechnology and optical systems, among others.
Prior to joining Preti Flaherty, Ricardo practiced as part of the intellectual property group at another regional law firm.
