Stephen D. Wilson Elected as President of Cumberland Bar Association

Stephen D. Wilson was elected as President of the Cumberland Bar Association on February 27, 2014. Steve is a Partner at Preti Flaherty, where he is Chair of the Sports & Entertainment Group, Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Group, and Member of the Litigation, Business Law, and Securities Groups. Steve previously served as First Vice President (2013-2014) and General Committee Member (2006-2013) for the Association's governing board.

The Cumberland Bar Association is one of the oldest organized bar associations in the United States, with records dating back at least as early as 1829, just nine years after Maine became a State. The Association currently has around 600 regular and honorary members. Notable members have included former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury William Pitt Fessenden, Stephen W. Longfellow, father of the poet Henry W. Longfellow, and state and federal court Justices and Judges. Past Presidents of the Association have included U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Peter G.
