January 25, 2007 PORTLAND, Me. - Preti Flaherty’s Katharine M.
McCarthy has been selected as Vice President of The Dartmouth Club of Maine. The
association provides fellowship among Dartmouth College alumni and parents and
supports the College’s efforts to encourage exceptional Maine students to attend
Dartmouth College.
As Vice President, Katharine will coordinate alumni activities, such as the
annual dinner, Spring dinner and Young Alumni Panel for accepted students.
Katharine also regularly assists with interviewing with Maine applicants.
Katharine joined the Portland office of Preti Flaherty in 2006 and practices
with the Business Law Group. She previously worked as a clerk at the Maine
Supreme Court for the Honorable Chief Justice Leigh Ingalls Saufley. While in
law school at the University of Maine, she served as the editor-in-chief of
Maine Law Review.
Katharine received her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, a
master’s degree from Harvard University and law degree from the University of
Maine School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Maine and Massachusetts.
