April 25, 2006 – Portland, ME – Preti Flaherty Associate Carlisle J. Tuggey was published in the Pace University School of Law Environmental Law Review (Volume 22, No. 2, Fall 2005). Tuggey was selected to author the 2005 Judges’ Edition Bench Memorandum for the Seventeenth Annual Pace National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, a competition the school hosts annually.

The National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition draws over 200 law students and 200 attorneys and judges nationwide. The competition is based on a problem that addresses various environmental law issues. Each year, a Pace Law School student is selected by professors and the moot court board to draft the bench brief that serves as the answer to the problem and guides the judges in the grading of briefs and preparation of questions and arguments for the oral portion of the competition.

Carlisle earned her Juris Doctor/Master of Environmental Management from Pace University School of Law and Yale University School of Forestry & Environmental Studies in 2005. She graduated in the top fifteen percent of her class at Pace and the top five percent of her class at Yale. She earned her B.S. in Environmental Studies from Bates College in 2000. She argued in the Vis Moot Court competition in Vienna Austria to the Quarter Final rounds.

She joined Preti Flaherty’s Portland office in 2005 and practices with the Environmental Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm, Carlisle worked with the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy as a research assistant.
