October 18, 2005 PORTLAND, Me. - Preti Flaherty’s Sigmund D. Schutz recently spoke at the Fall FOI Conference of the NEAPNEA (New England Associated Press News Executives Assn.), representing Maine on a panel of leading New England media law specialists discussing ongoing state freedom of information cases. State of Maine) allowing the public access to investigative records related to allegations of sexual abuse by 18 or more deceased Roman Catholic priests.

NEAPNEA's fall conference was held October 14-15, 2005 in North Conway, N.H. and focused on freedom of information and what newspapers need to do to fight for the public's right to know.
