Preti Flaherty is ranked first among counsel to underwriters for Maine
tax-exempt bond issuers, fifth among firms based in New England and 79th
nationally in Thomson Financial’s 2003 annual ranking of the nation’s top 100
underwriter’s counsel.
Preti Flaherty served as underwriter’s counsel in bond
issues totaling approximately $780 million by the State of Maine, the Maine
State Housing Authority, the Maine Municipal Bond Bank, the Finance Authority of
Maine and other issuers. The firm’s underwriter clients include UBS
Financial Services Inc. and Bear Stearns & Co. Inc.
Preti Flaherty serves as bond counsel to governmental issuers in Maine
and as counsel to governmental entities and borrowers of tax-exempt funds.
In 2003 the firm served as counsel in 39 issues of bonds and notes totaling
approximately $1.5 billion.
