Preti Flaherty’s Deirdre O’Callaghan is the newly elected president of the
Maine Women’s Network. O’Callaghan has been a long time supporter of the
Network, and has served as a member of its board of directors.
“It is a tremendous honor and opportunity to serve as president of the Maine
Women’s Network,” said O’Callaghan. “Job number one will be to continue the
Network’s mission to be a resource for women around the state as they build
personal and professional partnerships.”
The purpose and vision of the Maine Women's Network is to create a
professional environment for women to become more effective in the business
world through members consisting of women of all ages, educational, social, and
economic backgrounds.
O’Callaghan is a member of Preti Flaherty’s Portland office where she
practices in the firm’s Environmental, Energy and Utilities and Business Law
groups. She has also served on numerous boards, including the boards of
directors of the Maine Lawyers for the Arts and the Maine State Chamber of
Commerce. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the University of
Maine Alumni Association and Avesta Housing Corporation and is President of the
Hanover Village Library Association.
