Preti Flaherty today announced it has named attorneys Matthew LaMourie and Naomi Sakamoto as members of the firm.

Mr. LaMourie is an attorney in the firm's Labor & Employment and Litigation Practice Groups. His practice concentrates in business immigration and labor and employment matters, where he represents a full range of corporate and individual clients in issues encompassing wrongful termination claims, noncompetition agreements, labor relations, disability discrimination claims, wage and hour compliance, and OSHA compliance.
Ms. Sakamoto is a member of the Business Law Practice Group. She focuses on securities matters, including private offerings, private equity funds and compliance with securities laws and regulations. She also is engaged in a wide variety of commercial transactions, including commercial lending, international business matters, the purchase and sale of real property, businesses and other assets, e-commerce, internet access, internet related business transactions, software licensing, and satellite service, telecommunications and technology agreements.

Mr. LaMourie, a Portland resident, is licensed to practice in both Maine and Massachusetts and is admitted before the U.S. District Court, District of Maine, and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Maine State Bar Association and American Immigration Lawyers Association.

A Portland resident, Ms. Sakamoto serves on the Board of Directors of the Maine International Trade Center and of the World Affairs Council of Maine. She is admitted to practice law in Maine, New York, New Hampshire and Hawaii, before the U.S. District Courts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
