Flaherty announced today that attorney David B. Van Slyke was recently nominated
as a Fellow in the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL).
Van Slyke, a Partner and Chair of Preti Flaherty’s Environmental Law
Practice Group, will be inducted on September 25, 2008 at the College’s annual
meeting in San
Francisco.
David is a nationally recognized environmental lawyer, joining the firm in
1991 after a distinguished career with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) in Washington,
D.C.
Membership in the American College of Environmental Lawyers is by
invitation only and members are recognized by their peers as preeminent in their
field. According to ACOEL, members are dedicated to maintaining and
improving the ethical practice of environmental law, the administration of
justice, and the development of environmental law at both the state and federal
level.
David directs all aspects of the firm’s environmental practice, including
permitting, compliance counseling, defense of enforcement actions, due diligence
in business and lending transactions and environmental risk management.
