July 21, 2008 – PORTLAND, MAINE – Preti Flaherty announced today that
attorney Leonard M. Cole has joined the firm as an associate. Leonard will
practice with the Business Law and Health Law Practice Groups from the firm’s
Portland, Maine office. He will advise the firm's numerous
tax-exempt clients on a diverse range of business matters with emphasis on tax
and corporate planning.
Prior to joining Preti Flaherty, Leonard practiced with the tax group at
Goodwin Procter LLP in Boston, MA, with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP
in New York, and with smaller firms where he represented nonprofit organizations
and philanthropists, among others.
Leonard is a 2003 graduate of New York University School of Law (LL.M), a
1999 graduate of Duke University School of Law (J.D.) and a 1987 graduate of
Berklee College of Music (B.M.). He most recently resided in Newton, MA.
