February 12, 2008 — Boston, Massachusetts —Today Preti Flaherty
announced that attorneys Michael A. Murphy and Michael B. Doherty have
joined its Boston office. Both will practice with the firm’s Litigation Group;
Murphy as a Director and Doherty as an Associate.
Michael Murphy brings a strong litigation practice to Preti Flaherty.
He most recently practiced with a Boston-based civil trial firm, and founded
Michael A. Murphy & Associates, P.C., where he practiced for nine years. He
focuses his practice on medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, products
liability, general liability and complex civil litigation. Murphy is a former
Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He served the FBI
from 1983-1988. Murphy is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School and Boston
College. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York and
the District of Columbia. He resides in Milton, MA with his family.
Michael Doherty will also practice with Preti Flaherty’s Litigation
Group as an associate. He will continue to build his litigation practice, and
brings several years experience in medical and dental malpractice and products
liability litigation to the firm. Michael is a graduate of Georgetown University
Law Center and Boston College. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and
Rhode Island. Michael resides in Rowley, MA.
