October 31, 2007 — PORTLAND, Maine — Today Preti Flaherty announced
that attorneys Carrie M. Logan, Megan A. Sanders and Nancy C. Walworth
have joined its Portland office as associates. Logan will practice with
the Real Estate and Business Law Practice Groups; Sanders with the
Employment Law and Litigation Groups; and Walworth with the Environmental
Law Group.
Carrie Logan launched her legal career after several years
of teaching third grade and ESL in Texas and Louisiana with Teach for America.
She is a 2000 graduate of Bowdoin College and a 2007 graduate of the University
of Maine School of Law. During law school, she worked with Preti Flaherty as a
summer associate in 2006 and completed the Bernstein Fellowship, where she
clerked for several York County District Court Judges in 2005. Carrie is a
native of Yarmouth, Maine and resides in Portland, Maine.
Megan Sanders has returned to Preti Flaherty after serving for two
summers as a Beliveau-McCarthy Fellow Summer Associate in 2005 and 2006. She is
a 2007 graduate of the University of Maine School of Law and a 2000 graduate of
Bates College. Before joining the firm, Megan worked in the U.S. Attorney’s
Office and served STRIVE (A Program of the Project for Supported Living) in
South Portland, Maine as a program assistant where she helped design the
post-secondary educational program, STRIVE U, for young adults with
developmental disabilities. Megan is a native of Holden, Maine and resides in
Portland, Maine.
Prior to joining Preti Flaherty, Nancy Walworth served as an intern
with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Appellate Division, as a 2006 summer associate
with Preti Flaherty and as a law clerk to Judge John Beliveau in Lewiston
District Court. Before launching her legal career, Nancy worked with A.T.
Kearney, a management consulting firm. She is a 2007 graduate of the University
of Maine School of Law and a 2000 graduate of Williams College. Nancy is a
native of Lewiston, Maine and resides in Portland, Maine.
