critical to operating a modern business.
However, time-wasting or "cyber-slacking" such as accessing inappropriate Web
sites, participating in online auctions or sending personal e-mail can also
hinder business activities and expose the company to liability.
Additionally, the unauthorized and undiscovered transfer of proprietary
information could result in the loss of trade secrets and business
advantage.
Because of this, companies would be well advised to create and enforce
Internet and e-privacy rules and monitor their employees' computer use.
