New Bio-Medical Waste Facility Permitted in Manchester, NH An entrepreneur approached the permitting experts in our Environmental Group with a request to help him site medical waste treatment facility, using new technology involving no wastewater process and no harmful air emissions, in a metropolitan New Hampshire area. Preti Flaherty led the team that crafted and executed a strategy that included securing the support of area hospitals and the City's health department, as well as educating local and state officials on the benefits of the facility. Despite the project's potential for being a lightning rod for public concern, Preti Flaherty's efforts resulted in unanimous approval at the local level and a prompt approval by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, all without any public opposition.
