When Teens Turn Violent: Movie and Discussion on School Safety Issues

As a follow-up to our recent Bullying and Harassment breakfast briefings, we invite you to join us for a special afternoon session. We will view Bang Bang You're Dead, the movie inspired by Bill Mastrosimone's play about bullying and school violence. The movie speaks to students, educators and parents, addressing the issue that peer pressure and bullying are no longer harmless in today's schools, and explores why seemingly normal teenagers sometimes turn violent.

Following the movie, we will allow time for a practical discussion on legal issues related to school safety. Please join us for light refreshments, and further discussion on the issue.

Two sessions will be held, each from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.

Portland - One City Center - Wednesday, March 16

Augusta - 45 Memorial Circle - Thursday, March 17

Bullying and Harassment Breakfast Briefing will also be offered from 8:00 - 9:15 a.m. on Friday, March 18 at the University of Maine, Orono - The Student Union, Room 316.

RSVP by March 14 to Kim LeBlanc at 791-3224 or by email: kleblanc@preti.com
