Bullying and Harassment Breakfast Briefing

Bullying and harassment continue to pose challenges for students and educators. The law is less than clear about a school's obligations to prevent and respond to bullying and harassment claims, and these obligations may vary depending on the group of students involved. Attend this briefing and learn about the following:

  • Steps you can take to help prevent bullying and harassment in your schools
  • Real life situations that have given rise to cliams of bullying and harassment, and how the courts have reacted to such claims
  • Specific concerns that arise when the harassment is directed to gay and lesbian students
  • Practical approaches to handling and responding to bullying claims

Two sessions will be held, each from 8:00 am - 9: 15 am. Continental breakfast is provided.

  • Augusta - 45 Memorial Circle - Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005
  • Portland - One City Center, Penthouse - Friday, Feb. 18, 2005

RSVP by Feb. 14 to Kim LeBlanc at 207-791-3224 or by email: kleblanc@preti.com
