Autism is the fastest growing learning disorder in the country.  According to the Autism Society of America, two to six of every 1000 babies born today will develop a form of autism, and each day 50 American families will learn that they have a child with autism. Austim spectrum disorders pose unique challenges to educators, and we are raising unique issues under the laws that require schools to identify ans serve students with special needs.  In ths Breakfast Briefing we will discuss:

  • Legal obligations that impact the way schools must deal with this exploding segment of our special needs population
  • Proactive techniques that can facilitate compliance with applicable laws
