The 11th Annual Education Law Conference will be held at the University of
Maine School of Law and the University of Southern Maine. The conference brings
together a diverse, national group of educators, attorneys, and policy-makers to
discuss legal issues of concern to K12 and higher ed. Cutting edge conference
topics for this year include special education, discipline, hazing, civil
rights, employment liabilities, teacher qualification and licensing, and NCLB.
The conference offers nationally-known keynotes and a choice of two workshops a
day; CLE and continuing education credits are available.
Preti Flaherty Attorneys Mike Mahoney and Anthony Buxton will participate in
the conference as panelists; Mahoney will sit on a panel discussing Property Tax
