Matthew LaMourie kicks off this year's Employment Law Breakfast Series with a discussion on the cultural shift happening around sexual harassment, and best practices for employers to reinforce their compliance efforts. Since 1991, Maine has been at the forefront of legislating sexual harassment policies. In late 2017, the state made substantive updates to the law which brought about new obligations for employers as well as penalties for violations. Matt will analyze the recent changes to the law and review each of the new requirements for notification, training, and recordkeeping.
