Session 2: Managing Mental Impairments Under the ADA and MHRA

For 25 years the attorneys in Preti Flaherty's Employment Law Group have been keeping clients, business partners, and friends up to date on recent developments in employment law.  Each session in this 3-part series will focus on a specific employment issue in a talk and discussion format.

On March 26, 2019, Kevin Haskins will continue our series with a conversation on developments in disability law relating to mental impairment in the workplace.

Session 2 program topics include:

  • Assessing whether an employee is "disabled" and therefore entitled to accommodation under federal and state disability laws
  • Handling the interactive process with employees coping with mental impairments
  • Enforcing workplace policies when a violation may be attributable to an employee's impairment
  • Other legal considerations.
